The Baby Room is where children up to 2 years old are welcomed with open arms.  There is a maximum of 10 babies per day so it is a intimate group where the children can really get to know their teachers and each other.

ecopreschools recognize that, for the most part babies are non-verbal.  For this reason, it is particularly important that staff embrace and apply advice given by parents about their child.  It is also equally important that staff intuitively pick up on the needs of the babies in their care.  Staff emphasis is on providing a nurturing environment where babies are able to explore their world within a safe and relaxing environment.

Physical Environment

We have a comfortable and large indoor play area with a range of toys and sensory activities that are designed to facilitate learning and development for the youngest of children.  Our Cot Room is tranquil, climate controlled and has muted natural light during rest time making it a lovely quiet spot for a good rest.

Outside, baby’s have full use of the large outdoor play area as well as two smaller play areas directly adjacent to their room for smaller group play experiences.
